JN0303 :
a friend just got to Ontario, Canada from London, England – and her luggage was lost at this time. I am wondering how long does it take for luggage to surface/get returned to the owner.
Is there tracking numbers on the luggage as well or no?

Tracking numbers are on the luggage tags.
How long? It depends on where the luggage was sent, and on how many different airlines the luggage went through.
I’m guessing it was only one airline, but the luggage may not have left Europe yet.
I’ve had luggage misrouted a few times over the years. In my experience, it’s never taken more than two days for my bag to be delivered to me even on overseas trips. However, I have known a few people where the bag took about a week to catch up.
There are generally tracking numbers and sometimes you may be given access to an internet site where you can check the status of your bags – depending on the airline.
